Christmas can be a hard time for people who do not have sufficient resources for their families and we offer sincere thanks to all who undertook so many fundraising events on our behalf and raised much needed funds to offset our extra costs. We particularly thank those who over the years have faithfully continued to send in donations (often anonymously) and it is due the generosity of the public that we were able to make up the shortfall between our government funding and our actual costs which are rising by the day due to increased numbers of people who find themselves caught in the poverty trap.
We particularly like to mention those who organised financial/clothing/food collections in Prayer Groups, Parishes, Schools, Offices, Social Clubs etc and the families and individual who opted to have donations made in lieu of Birthday/Christmas gifts. All required much time, effort and personal sacrifice and is greatly appreciated.
Special thanks to Margaret Wogan who once again hosted a
Christmas Night in the ALSA Club
Also to Gerry Bartley, Tommy O'Brien and Sean Donohoe, their families & friends, the many Choirs, Musicians and Collectors who took part in
Christmas Carol Singing Street Collection
at the GPO on 6th December
and Shopping Centre in Donaghmede.
Finally thanks to the Bridwell Gardai and our
faithful volunteers who helped in so many ways over
the Christmas period.
May God reward you all for your kindness and bless you with many graces.
Bro. Kevin Crowley.
